Customer Integration
Integration begins with customers placing orders through our user-friendly web portal, which features simple forms with predefined fields and parameters. For recurring pickups, our advanced scheduler can handle partial or complete order details and automatically dispatch ground agents to fulfill these scheduled orders. You can specify any frequency, whether daily, weekly, monthly, or at any custom interval.
For more sophisticated shippers, we offer a variety of built-in formal EDI formats, including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT transactions. Our EDI capabilities allow for the seamless receipt of orders, as well as the transmission of status updates and invoice information.
CourierCloud Integration
Integration continues seamlessly with your couriers, whether they are employee drivers, contractors, or ground agents. Our mobile apps alert ground agents directly to pickups, providing full details. Status updates can be given at every stage—from pickup and on-site to out for delivery and proof of delivery. Full photo capabilities are available at any point to document issues and confirm activities. Signatures are captured and attached to each order, and can be printed on the airbill to complete documentation.
If you use ground agents or contractors who are members of CourierCloud, alerts and all shipment information are instantly transferred between you and your ground agent partner. This integration makes your ground agents an extension of your network, enabling you to reach new markets and services. If your couriers cannot use the mobile app, no problem—detailed email alerts with the ability to confirm and update orders are also available.
Airline Integration
If your services rely on commercial airlines, CourierCloud’s integration capabilities will keep you informed and up-to-date! Our system provides direct access to flight schedules for every major airline worldwide, starting with flight routing.
We go a step further by monitoring each flight for cancellations and delays, ensuring you are immediately notified of any changes to your selected flight routing. This allows you to quote delivery times with greater accuracy.
Our electronic integration also includes full e-AWB support for manifested shipments via CargoIMP/XML messaging. You can receive confirmation on-board messages that validate the flight transporting your shipment, ensuring the most accurate delivery times for your customers.
Sophisticated Rating Engine
Rating in the time-critical shipping business can be complex due to competitive pressures and complex services. Our template-based rating system simplifies this process, offering both flexibility and ease of use. Each rate begins as a template, capable of specifying an unlimited number of charge types and calculation methods, such as flat rates, unit-based tables, geographic locations, and service types. These templates are then assigned to specific services and customers.
You can build a standard rate and use it as a base for new customer rates, ensuring easy setup. Alternatively, create custom templates for individual accounts for complete customization.
Templates can be shared between accounts for effortless updates. For contractual rates, you can set an effective date for future rate increases or changes based on the contracts assigned to the customer profile. Additionally, a cost-plus rating is available to ensure you always maintain the proper margin for spot quotes.
Costing and Driver Settlement
Similar to our rating engine, costs start with a cost template that can be assigned to multiple ground agents (couriers) and airline vendors.
Ensure costs are always calculated based on contracts with your partners by linking costs to your vendors’ services and setup.
Reconcile vendor invoices directly within the system, eliminating overpayments and duplicate billing issues, thereby improving your profit margins.
If you ship via commercial airlines, you can maintain your own rates in the system or choose to integrate with 7L Freight for airline rate management.
